Vigya is a doctorate in Psychology and on the academic front was associated with All India Management Association as an Assistant Professor for 5 years, where apart from teaching developed course material, she was Director/ Faculty Coordinator of Ph.D Programme, Alumni, Training, Placements and Library.
In the year 2004 she became visiting faculty for Organization Behaviour and Human Resources for Narsee Monjee Institute of Management and KC College of Management at Mumbai, Apeejay Institute of Management, Jagannath institute of Management , IIPM, Jaipuria Institute of Management.
On the Corporate front, Vigya was associated with the Taj Group for a period of 5 years, where she was consulting in training recruitment, manpower planning, performance counseling, psychometric assessments, role analysis and job analysis. She has handled clients like RPG, HLL, P&G, Madura Coats, Asian Paints, Power Grid, Oberoi Hotels, IIM's, Bajaj, XLRI, and many other premier institutes. She has worked on a Training need Analysis project for Container Corporation of India Ltd., in association with Dutch Embassy and developed Training Modules for them. She has also been with the Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals in the capacity of a Training Manager. She has developed reading material and designed and conducted training programmes on leadership and team building for Gender Training Institute (NGO) in Delhi and Kathmandu.
She is a Corporate Trainer in Organisational Behaviour areas such as Negotiation Skills, Attitude Building, Team Building, Leadership, Communication and other related areas and is part of the Upgrade core team.
She has also been a member of the Recruitment Reform Committee constituted by the Govt. of India. The committee was headed by Secretary to Govt. of India. Present recruitment rules were analysed and suggestions for improvement were submitted to the Govt. of India.
